10/04/07 AGI Occasional Table Collections General Specifications, Features and Benefits OPTIONS Collections vary and offer tables in all wood or in combinations of wood and laminate, wood and metal, wood, metal and stone or wood, metal & laminate METAL BASES Metal table legs are offered on the Orlo, Rado & Velo collections The metal is either extrudedand laser cut or C&C cut aluminum. Rado and Velo metal parts come standard powder coated in silver and black is optional. Orlo is anodized clear aluminum. SANDING/FINISHING All exposed wood is hand sanded with A 180 grit abrasive which provides a smooth surface for finish application. Finishes are sprayed by hand starting with a stain and then baked on in oven. A coat of conversion varnish is then applied and baked on which is added protection. TOPS Most table tops are three ply veneer substrate core and back veneer construction. The face veneer is can can be figured depending on the collection. Tops can also be laminated, ¾ inch stone, glass, or ximbord , a reconstituted wood product, again depending on the collection. Tops can be removed from the table base and replaced in the field. BASES All square, rectangular, round and elliptical shaped bases have legs and aprons constructed of solid hardwood kiln dried to a moisture content of 6 to 8%. Curved table aprons are constructed of eight ply laminated wood with 1/8 inch veneer face. All wood bases are constructed using double dowel joint construction with glue and screw attached blocking at all corners for maximum strength. Bases can be removed from the table top and replaced in the field.
