Service Improvement support • Workforce improvement as part of QIPP: • Joint NHS institute for Innovation and Improvement/Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA) programme of support: • Productive wards, operating theatres, community services and others • Backfill for organisations • AQuA Associates: building capacity and capability for service improvement

Workforce priorities for MPET funds • Supporting the current workforce: CPD • Supporting skill mix changes • Workforce modernisation • Joint Investment framework • Apprenticeships • Supporting analysis: E Win • Supporting widening participation and effect on economic health: apprenticeships, cadets, pre employment

NW relationship with Skills for Health • Skills Academy for Health North West • Delivery arm for: • Joint Investment Framework • Cadets • Apprenticeships • Pre employment • Support for future education thinking: simulation, e-learning • Close regional and national ties to support strategy • Joint relationship with Skills funding agency and National apprenticeship service
