  5. Factors that Affect Photosynthesis • Sunlight • More sunlight = increased photosynthesis • Less sunlight = decreased photosynthesis

  6. Factors that Affect Photosynthesis • Temperature • Higher temperature = increased photosynthesis • Lower temperature = decreased photosynthesis

  7. Factors that Affect Photosynthesis • Carbon Dioxide (CO2) • More CO2= increased photosynthesis • Less CO2= decreased photosynthesis

  8. Factors that Affect Photosynthesis • Water • A shortage of water can slow or even stop photosynthesis • Water stress causes stomata to close, preventing CO2 from entering the leaf
