What is a Robot? • A robot is a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. • Some people think robots are like a mechanical person but, those robots are very uncommon. • A robot can be defined as a mechanical device that is capable of performing a variety of tasks on command.

  3. Robots our personal assistant? • Robots, they can be your best friend but other times it just might take over the world. • They can be our helpful friend too, currently some personal assistant robots can clean the floor, clear the table, collect things to put them in the garbage or even put them back where they go, collect your dirty laundry and put it in the washing machine.

  5. What makes it a robot and not just any old machine? • A robot does things on command and/or program it to do something over a computer. • A machine is also controlled over a computer but most of the time its not it just runs and does things it was build for.

  6. Your personal assistant can also be a great example. • Some robots could talk just be careful of what words you program it to say or it might just be a very bad example. • The robot can also be a great example by helping out around the house or at work, helping a neighbor or a friend, and also can do most things people don’t like to do.
