ATEEC’s New Grant Funded by November 20, 2003, 5-6 p.m. Environmental Education Center Scott Community College, Bettendorf, IA
Started in 1995 as a program of the National Science Foundation (NSF) – NSDL’s aim is to establish “a national digital library that would constitute an online network of learning environments for improving teaching and learning for STEM education at all levels.”
NSDL currently sponsors and coordinates the development of 210 different Digital Libraries and initiatives.
The goal of NSDL is to create a single “super” digital library that will provide researchers in science, technology and mathematics with a straight-forward method for locating resources.http://nsdl.org/
eERL – electronic Environmental Resources Library • Mission: Provide a comprehensive library of online environmental and sustainability resources for educators, students, and practitioners
Originally named ATEEL Advanced Technology Environmental Education Libraryhttp://ateel.ateec.org/The ATEEL digital library first debuted in 1999.
eERL will offer free online resources from three main content areas:environmental technology (12 content areas): air quality, energy, materials science, sustainability, etc. vocational areas (8 content areas): agriculture, automotive, manufacturing technology, etc.cross-cutting areas (11 content areas): environmental issues , safety and health, regulatory affairs, etc.)
eERL will also provide… Career information in the field of Environmental TechnologyRegulatory information for Environmental Technologyoriginal research from MIT’s Laboratory for Energy and the Environment (LfEE)
