Roverway 2018 – Your Insurance Cover • Unity (Scout Insurance Services) has created bespoke insurance cover for the UK Contingent travelling to Roverway 2018.
Your insurance policy covers • Event Cancellation • Travel • Medical • Personal Possessions • Personal Liability Cover
Event Cancellation cover • If you are no longer able to attend Roverway 2018, due to reasons outside your control, you can recover your event fee. • If the organisers were to cancel, the UK Contingent Team would make a claim on behalf of the whole Contingent. • Changing your mind and/or disinclination to travel is not covered.
Travel cover • This covers you for delayed departure or arrival if the aircraft, coach, ship or train is delayed for over 12 hours due to circumstances outside your control. • Leave plenty of time so you can avoid delays where possible. We recommend aiming to get to the airport 3 hours before your flight.
Medical cover • This medical cover supports you for any hospitalisation costs and medical emergencies. • The medical cover will also cover the cost of repatriation should you need to travel home earlier or later than intended. • Please remember to bring your EHIC card.
Personal Possessions cover • Covers the cost of replacing your bag and belongings if they are lost, stolen or damaged while you are travelling.
Personal Liability Cover • Covers the legal costs and damages awarded arising from claims for injury, loss or damage to a third party or their property as a result of your negligence. • This does not include deliberate or criminal acts.
Your insurance policy • As with any insurance policy terms & conditions apply. • In the policy summary, you can be find : • Policy Limits (the amount you can claim for) and • Excesses (the part of any claim you must pay).
Other insurance considerations Medical equipment you need to take • If you have medical equipment that you need to bring with you which is valued above the limit of personal belongings, you should ensure that the it is covered by your own household insurance policy on an “all risks” basis. Extending your travel • If you are planning on travelling for more than 6 weeks, you can increase the length of my policy. Please contact Unity (Scout Insurance Services) to discuss your requirements. You will be responsible for paying any additional premium.

Process 1 – Medical Emergencies Only • Contact: Intana • Quote the policy number: STRV\000003653. • When calling for help, please provide the following information: • the insured person’s name and the address they are staying at; • the phone number you, or the insured person, are calling from; • the name and phone number of the doctor and hospital treating the insured person; • the policy number (STRV\000003653) and your name; • the nature of the emergency.

Process 2 – Individual Claims • Contact: Intana • Ensure you have the relevant supporting documentation to make your claim: • Crime reports (i.e. stolen items) • Hospital records (i.e. medical treatment) • Lost baggage reports (for lost baggage) • Receipts for replacement items where they are needed as an emergency (i.e. items purchased if bags were delayed / lost, travel delays etc.) • Original receipts or proof of ownership (e.g. a photo) of any stolen or damaged items
Process 2 – Individual Claims • You will also need to complete the relevant insurance claims forms provided by Unity (Scout Insurance Services). • All claims must be made within 30 days of an incident occurring • You can make insurance claim(s) upon your return to the UK.
Process 3 – Contingent Claims • Contact the UKC and report the incident on +44 (0) 2071646992. • State your name and role and request a call back. • UKC will support you in making the necessary arrangements. • Complete incident form at soonest opportunity with the UKC. • Return all receipts and documentation to the Events Team, if possible at the UKC office onsite.
