Examples of other innovative teaching methods Art Education Regional culture • Aim:Creating a lace design • Procedure: • Pupils are divided into two-member or four-member groups. • Painting out a drawing with any colour. • A sketch of own lace by using a pencil (any shape according to pupil´s fantasy). • Covering a sketched shape with wool. • The lace completion by using a small piece of coal, wax or hard pastel.

  4. During German language lessonspupils learnt about a village called Špania Dolina, where a German minority lives.The group work, pair work, individual work and work with a text were used. Pupils gained information about the village and its attractions.

  5. They worked in groups while creating theslogans. They gave reasons for visiting this place and they were writing the advertising slogans. Their slogans were presented in printed, audio or video form.

  6. Result: advertising slogans for tourists to attract them to visit this region.
