Key Dates and Times • Monday 15th September at school at 8am. No exceptions. • Flight details: Outward Mon 15thon CZ3554 from Hongqiao 12.15-14.25 • Flight details: Return Fri 19th on CZ3557 to Pudong 14.00-16.20 • Aim to arrive back at DCS at 18.00

Itinerary – Main Activities • Sea Turtle Conservation • Hike to View Point with GPS and Geocaching • Survival Day: Hike with map-reading skills in order to find lunch; kayaking; raft-building; fishing; fire building; cooking; shelter building; leave no trace • Surfing • Sailing

What to pack? Clothing • 4 T-shirts • 1 Warmer layer for evenings • 1 Thin waterproof jacket • 2 pairs of shorts • 1 pair of trousers • 4 pairs or underwear • 3 pairs of socks • 1 pair of trainers – may get wet • 1 pair of sandals/flip-flops • 2surf shirt/rash vest • 1 pair of watershoes • 1 swimming shorts/swim suit (no bikinis) • 1 beach towel
What to pack? Daypack & Misc • 20-30l backpack • Sunblock, minimum 30+ SPF • Bug Repellant • Sunglasses • Cap • Tissues • Hand sanitizer • Head-torch & batteries • Personal toiletries • Water-bottle • Medication and note from parents in English to tutor • Spending money, max 250 RMB
Electronics and Mobiles • Students are not encouraged to bring mobiles – they certainly do not need them • They are brought at their own risk • Limited phone use • Music on airport transfers only • Absolutely no laptops/tablets etc

Accommodation & Food • 3 nights in Vanke Hotel Twin Moon Bay & 1 night camping • Should you check the reviews out on Trip Advisor, please ignore the poster who shared concerns about their insurance. This is out of date and ill-founded. • Please ensure your child’s tutor knows of any food allergies • Please do not send your child with lots of snacks. There is plenty of high quality food provided which gets wasted if the students bring an abundance of snacks
Medication • Please place medicine in a sealed bag • Label the medicine with the correct name in English and give clear instructions for administration • Please give to the tutor on the morning of departure
Insurance • A reminder that all students need to have handed in medical insurance details
Passports • Every student must bring their passport on the trip • Flights have been booked under passport numbers so ID cards alone are not sufficient • Staff will ensure the safety of thee documents
Code of Conduct • DCS codes of conduct apply, just as they would in school • There is a zero tolerance towards: - Alcohol - Drugs - Sexual behavior • Respect staff & instructors and follow instructions • Sanctionsi. Initial warning/discussion with students. Possible removal from activityii. Phone call homeiii. Students sent home at the parents expense
