Work, sports extracurricular and similar events do not qualify for the conflict exam. • Locations: • check the website at http://courses.chem.psu.edu/chem112/Fall/Exams/exam_schedule2.htm • Bring: • SEVERAL #2 pencils with erasers • PSU photo ID • calculator - may not be text programmable • Know: • Your Chem. 112 section number (Section 001 or 002) • Do NOT bring: • Cell phones, PDA's, or any other electronic devices • text programmable calculator • food or drink • DO: • Turn hats with a brim backwards • Keep bags and backpacks ZIPPED AND ON THE FLOOR , not the seat • Material Covered: • Lectures 1-9 including demos • Chapters 14 and 21 • Skill Check Test 1-2, Unit Quiz 1, 2 • Format: • 25 multiple choice questions, similar to homework • Data sheet and Periodic Table will be provided • Counts as 34 points out of a final total of 200 (17% of your grade) • some calculations, some concept questions • Advice: • Do the sample practice exams on website page; select handouts • Do the practice exam posted on Angel • Do the homework from the text and packet! • Go to recitation, review and supplemental instruction sessions! • Go to office hours and free tutoring in the CRC! • Study in groups!
