Main Organ’s Functions • Nasal Cavity- where the oxygen is received • Pharynx- the air passes through it • Larynx- protects the trachea • Trachea- connects the pharynx and the larynx to the lungs • Bronchi- allows air to freely pass through to the lungs • Lungs- collect oxygen and release carbon dioxide
Interacts With…. • Circulatory system-the heart needs oxygen, the heart gets the oxygen from the respiratory system. • Some of the parts interact with other systems. For example, the trachea interacts with the digestive system.
How My System Works • First you take in oxygen • The oxygen goes through your Nasal cavity and to you Pharynx • Then the oxygen goes to your Larynx • From the Larynx, it goes through the Trachea • From the Trachea, it goes to the Bronchi • From the Bronchi, it goes to the lungs.
