Ex: “buzz,” “swish,” “zip.” • Personification: Describing something that isn't human with human characteristics. Ex: The sun smiled down on me. • Simile: Comparing two different things using the words like or as. Ex: She is as quick as a fox. • Metaphor: Comparing two different things without using the words like or as. Ex: She is a fox.
