5G CORE ARCHITECTURE Encouraging the growth of telecommunication AMF or Access and Mobility Management Function is a core network component in 5G. It is responsible for managing access and mobility for 5G devices. It also interacts with other network functions such as the UPF, SMF, and AUSF. CLIK HERE
CARRIER AGGREGATION Carrier Aggregation came into 3GPP Release 10. It is part of the feature of LTE- Advanced. It is a common term for describing the improvements in LTE. The focus of Release 10 was to advance LTE towards providing better user experience. This is done by providing higher data rates in cost-efficient way. CLIK HERE
RADIO FRAME STRUCTURE In 5G NR, just like LTE, a radio frame is also fixed at 10 milliseconds (ms) and it consists of 10 subframes, each of them is 1 ms long. However, contrary to LTE, having a fixed subcarrier spacing (SCS) of 15 kHz, 5G NR instead supports scalable numerology. It has the following benefits: flexible deployment - It covers a wide range of services. Covers carrier frequencies Thus, being different from fixed subcarrier spacing (SCS). It is extremely beneficial. CLIK HERE
