LRCHSClass of ‘57 Memoriam to our Deceased Classmates
Who Are We ? We lived in the age of innocenceA time of hope and joyWent cruising Main Street with our friendsJust being a girl or a boyWe ate at the Shack and the Green StripePiled our friends up in our carsDrank our Cokes and Root Beer floatsAnd gazed at the glistening starsWe went to football games and cheeredFor our team to always winOur boys were young, bold and strongAnd they were turning into menWe had an unforgettable spiritFor our colors of black and goldYouth and time were on our sideNo thoughts of getting old
We danced all night at Campus InnWore our pink and charcoal grayCut our hair in duck tailsAnd laughed our cares awaySome friends are lost foreverAnd that’s the saddest partThey will be in our thoughts and memoriesAnd forever in our hearts. We look back now on 50 yearsKnowing we are not oldWe’re the Fighting Tigers of Central HighCheering for our Black and Gold Written byJoan Gintella“For the Class of 1957”
