Technical Approach Consensus Update • 20 Yes votes, 2 NO votes • Clarifications to be added to the document to resolve the NO votes and comments and reach closure on the Technical Approach. • Patient Consent is not applicable to Query Health use cases. (Aggregated patient information or public health use cases). This has been confirmed with the ONC Privacy Office. • Neither HQMF nor QRDA category III can be used “as is” for Query Health. We will investigate the feasibility of revising these specifications to make them suitable for distributed population query execution. Success of this investigation is a baseline requirement to use modified versions of HQMF and QRDA category III as the basis for queries and their results. • Feedback or concerns due by 12/30/2011
RI Update • PopMedNet Activities • Plugin Design Document being prepared to integrate i2B2 and hQuery with PopMedNet • Expected to receive version during second week of January • hQuery • Abstracted the Query Engine to decouple from Mongo DB • i2B2 • Analyzing the path to convert existing i2B2 Queries (XML format) to HQMF • Complexity surrounding terms and ontologies
Specification Updates • HQMF Activities • Keith Boone and Marc Hadley coordinating and leading the effort to create the changes required to the existing HQMF • Updating HL7 HQMF Models currently • Will be creating schemas based of the updates • Start the Changes + Implementation guidance document • Convert i2B2 Queries to HQMF (Query Translator) • HQMF to Java Script Translator for hQuery • Two versions (One from Marc and one from Keith) • Represent Sample Queries in the new HQMF formats to validate and prove the activities • Interactions started NQF to determine how to align MAT + HQMF changes with other efforts

Next Steps • Continue with the RI and Specification Activities • Soliciting volunteers who are experienced in R-MIM’s and XML/XSLT to help with some of the upcoming tasks • Volunteers who can represent queries using the proposed HQMF • Soliciting volunteers for the QRDA Work stream • Expertise in QRDA • Reminders: • No Technical WG call on 12/29/2011 • HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!
