Technical WG – Mission and Scope • Responsible for recommending the standards and specifications to be used for Query Health • Transport, Security and Messaging mechanisms • Query / Case Definition and Results Delivery • Clinical Information Model Interface standards • Actual CIM is part of the Clinical WG • Responsible for creating the Reference Implementation based on the standards along with additional components that are required for an RI to support Pilots • Responsible for providing technical guidance, and assistance to conduct Pilots

Technical WG – Deliverables and Timelines Clinical WG Technical WG Business WG • Near Term Deliverables • Technical Requirements (Target Date for first version – 9/21/2011) • Alternatives and Analysis Matrix for the various standards and specifications (Target Date for first version – 10/12/2011)
Technical WG – Proposed Parallel Work Streams (Discussion) • Leveraging the information from the Summer Concert Series and other S&I/ONC initiatives • Identify Key Transport, Security and Messaging requirements • (Business WG and Clinical WG will have input into these requirements) • Identify Key requirements for Query / Case Definition and Results delivery • Identify Key Clinical Information Model (CIM) Interface requirements • (Actual CIM model will be developed as part of the Clinical WG) • Capture Summer Concert Series Patterns and Impacts to Query Health, along with re-usable components • Potentially meet multiple times during a week to focus on the different artifacts and deliverables

Technical WG – Next Steps • WG Member Activities: • Review Initiative Charter and post Questions/Comments on the discussion tab • Review Technical Principles and post Questions/Comments on the discussion tab • Sign up as Volunteers to develop the technical requirements on the actual wiki page • Sign up as Volunteers to refine the Summer Concert Series Patterns and Impacts on the wiki page • Discuss updates from the parallel work streams at the next Technical WG meeting • Administrative Activities • We will setup a wiki page for each work stream to discuss and capture outputs and send notification to the entire WG to sign up. • We will setup a recurring dial-in# for the various work streams as required • We will post the minutes and this presentation on the Technical WG page
