Jandía • Jandía is the largest of the three natural parks in Fuerteventura. The park covers a big part of the Jandía peninsula. It is located in the municipality of Pájara.
Jandía • In the Nature Park of Jandía is the highest peak on the island: La Zarza, with 807 m.
Jandía • Jandía is a defined structural unit of outstanding geological and biological importance and spectacular beauty.
Jandía • This Space was established by law 12/1987 of June declaration Natural Areas of the Canary Islands Jandía Natural Park and reclassified by law 12/1994, of 19 December on the Canary Islands as Natural Areas natural park.
Jandía • It has abundant endemic species, endangered species and protected species. Some are very well preserved and some are threatened. It is the habitat of unique species. The squirrel and the goats are affecting negatively the endemic flora species of the park.
Jandía • It representes an Area of vital importance for birds, with species protected by international rules. • This site has been designated as Special Protection Area for birds (SPAs)
Jandía • There are eight very small villages, These are Punta Jandía with 69 inhabitants; El Puertito, with 6 inhabitants; Diseminado, with 63 inhabitants; Casas del mal nombre with 28 inhabitants; Casas del Esquinzo with 228 inhabitants;Casas de Cofete with 25 inhabitants; Casas de Valluelo with 2 inhabitants and Casas de los Canarios de Arriba with 6 inhabitants
