Presentation Terminologyhttp://presentationsoft.about.com/od/powerpoint2007/a/ppt2007terms.htm • Slide Master • Design template • Transition • Speaker’s Notes • Handouts • Animation
Guidelines for using Lists • Use bullets when the order of the elements in the list is not important • Use numbers when the elements need to be in order, as in the steps of the process. • Use a font that is easy to read • Use between four and six short bulleted or numbered statements per slide • Create short statements that the speaker can explain in more detail during the presentation.
Design tips • Use animation for impact, but only sparingly • Apply only one style of slide transition to your presentation. • Use animation and transitions to help your audience understand the content better, not just to entertain.
Apply animation to slides. • The first step when applying animation is to select the words or object you would like to animate. • Then you would go to the 4th tab on your toolbar that says Animations and chose Custom Animation. • On the right hand side of your screen a box will appear that says custom animation and you click on the down arrow beside add effect. • Then you chose entrance, motion path, etc.
