  3. Smart Vision Award - Comprehensive Planning Jefferson County Mystery Bay Management Plan and South Port Townsend Bay Management Plan

  4. The Mystery Bay and South Port Townsend Bay Management Plans balance the need to protect commercial shellfish resources while providing for public recreation and other commercial uses. The plan is a model of interagency cooperation and broad public involvement. It’s also a model for addressing natural resource use conflicts and lessons learned from this plan are being used to develop similar plans in other areas.

  7. The White River Forest has been managed as a working forest for nearly 100 years. Until this project was complete, it was the largest swath of unprotected forestland remaining in King County.
