2. Tom Sawyer convinced his friends That painting his fence was a privilege and that they should give him something in return to do paint his fence.

3. Tom Sawyer falls in love with a new girl in town, Becky Thatcher. Becky finds out that tom has been “engaged” to another and shuns him.

4. Soon after being shunned by Becky Tom goes to the graveyard with Huck fin (Son of the town Drunk) where they witness the murder of Dr. Johnson by Injun Joe. They ran off and swore to each other to not tell anyone. Injun joe blames the murder on Muff Potter, a drunk and his aquaintance. Muff was found guilty and went to jail.

5. Tom’ anxiety and guilt build; Tom, Huck, and Tom’s friend Joe run away and become “pirates” on small island. Soon after they find out that the community is searching for their bodies by the river. Tom sneaks back to his house one night and sees his family sorrow thinking that Tom is dead.

6. Tom ends up going to his own funeral. Joe and Huck do the same and they welcomed back and are the envy of town.

7. Tom and Huck go to an abounded house in search of a treasure. While there they see Injun Joe and his companion. They follow him and find out that he has a treasure spot. Huck tan follows Injun every night and waits for an opportunity to steal their gold. Huck overhears Injun Joe talk about an attack on widow Douglas, Huck was an anonymous hero.

8. Tom and Becky get lost in cave. They run out food and there is a group out looking for them the next morning. Tom looking for a way out, stubbles upon Injun Joe’s hiding spot. When Tom and Becky escape the town rejoices and the cave locked with Injun Joe still in and he ends up starving to death.

9. Tom and Huck go back to the cave to get Injun Joe’s treasure. Widow Douglas adopts Huck and finally is n a civilized life.
