Background Info • A phage is a virus that infects and replicates inside bacteria. • They cannot live on their own and they depend on a host cell to replicate and spread. • For a long time phages and other viruses weren’t studied and were basically completely ignored, but it’s starting to come to attention that viruses are actually an important part of life and need to be studied and researched.

Similarities PstI Sal I Eco Rv Nco I Kb Nco I Eco Rv Sal I Pst I • Jessica Dahlke and Emma Sweet’s second DNA gel run seem to be identical to our second gel.
