Let’s get started! • Topic: Interactive PowerPoint Presentations and InterWriteBoard • Population: This workshop is designed for elementary school teachers. • Outcomes: · TLW be introduced to interactive PowerPoint presentations.· TLW be introduced to InterWrite Boards and the InterWrite Workspace· TLW how create an interactive PowerPoint presentation and integrate them with the InterWrite Boards. • Gap: The learners have a basic understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint. The learners will be at varying levels of knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and InterWrite Boards. Some will learn more quickly than others. The learners will be introduced to using Microsoft PowerPoint within the InterWrite software. The learners will gain knowledge in using Microsoft PowerPoint integrated with the InterWrite Boards. The presentations will be interactive as well as informational!

Workshop Information: • The workshop will be conducted in the Computer Lab @ Kemp Primary School • Equipment will include computers, Internet, InterWrite Board, LCD projector, USB FlashDrive, and presentation clicker • Online Application: The internet will be used to access videos during the presentation. The learners will also use the internet to search interactive games and actives to be included in the group PowerPoint presentations.

  5. Workshop Information: • Hand-outs will be provided by the instructor to assist the participants during the workshop. • This workshop is to expand teacher’s knowledge of the InterWrite Board, Workspace, and implementing interactive PowerPoint presentations into their classrooms.

  6. Workshop Agenda • 8:00-8:30- Sign In and Breakfast • 8:30-9:00- Pre-training Survey • 9:00-10:00- Session 1: What is InterWrite and how can it help me. • 10:00-10:15- Break

Workshop Agenda • 10:15-11:30- Session 2: InterWrite and PowerPoint • 11:30-12:30- Lunch • 12:30-2:00- Session 3: Authentic Production/Assessment (TLW work together to create an Interactive PowerPoint Presentation) • 2:00-2:45- Group Presentations • 2:45-3:15- Question and Answer • Evaluation of Workshop will conclude the day

Collaboration: Authentic Assessment • Group Collaboration Interactive PowerPoint Presentation • The learners will participate in InterWrite Workspace Scavenger hunt to familiarize themselves with the InterWrite Board and Workspace. • The learners will work in collaborative groups to create an interactive PowerPoint Presentation to be shared with the class. • The learners will save their presentations on a USB FlashDriveto be shared with others.
