Characteristics ofwork Steinbeck's style of work is realistic and based about the poor working-class people (Biblio). The settings in most of his books take place in California where he was born and lived.
Critical Response Steinbeck's way of writing makes you see the truth in reality especially in his novel, The Grapes of Wrath. This book is about a poor family being driven out of their home by a drought, financial and economic difficulties to California which was almost impossible to do so in their situation. He uses his real life experiences in the book that sends out strong and true messages.
Critical Responsecont… The way he described the family situation about moving reminded me of my family’s immigration to the United States to live the American Dream. The book and my family are related in ways such as the opposing force forcing them to move from their land to somewhere else and start anew. Many people can relate to his books and that’s what makes him unique and a great literary figure because he is honest and realistic in his work.
