  3. GRAVITY • Pulls rock and soil down slopes • It is also called mass wasting

  4. WIND • Wind is most active agent of erosion in deserts, in plowed fields and on beaches • It can create sand dunes

  5. RUNNING WATER • Running water is the major cause of erosion • Examples: • Rivers • Streams • Rain water runoff

  6. GLACIERS • Glacial ice erodes by abrasion and by carrying sediments with them as they move

  7. WAVES • Powerful forces of waves constantly erodes and shapes the shoreline • Creates: sea cliffs caves beaches sand bars

  8. SEDIMENTS • solid particles carried from one place and dropped at another place.
