  5. Refusing to buy something as a protest. Cesar Chavez and his followers boycotted grapes for five years. Boycott

  6. An official member of a country. Chavez helped thousands of people become citizens. Citizen

  7. Hard and long work. Chavez showed diligence working for Civil Rights. Diligence

  8. Equal treatment under the law. Chavez wanted to work for justice in the United States. Justice

  9. An organization of workers who work together for better pay and conditions. Chavez started a labor union to get equal rights for farm workers. Labor Union
