  2. Why I chose ADHD • I chose ADHD because I personally have it and a lot of teenager have it nowadays.

  3. What is ADHD • ADHD stands for attention deficit hyperactive disorder. It is a chronic condition that affects millions of children and often persist into adulthood.

  4. Evidence suggests that a region known as the frontal cortex is involved in ADHD • The frontal cortex is part of the cerebral cortex

  5. What Causes ADHD • Many believe that it results from a chemical imbalance in the brain. • Too much TV • Sugar • Caffeine • Food colorings • Poor home life • Poor schools

  6. Medications • Stratterais the most commonly used medication • Ritalin • Adderall • Dextrostat

  7. Non medication treatmeants • Behavior modification, cognitive therapy, anger management, family counseling, and social training • Combining non-drug therapies with medication has a high success rate
