  2. Remember Predicate A complete predicate is a verb and everything after it The dog /is hungry Linking verbs A non-action verb that links a subject to a word in the predicate that refers back to the subject. The dog is hungry– is links dog to hungry

  3. Predicate Noun Sometimes the word that is linked to the subject is the a noun that renames the subject This is called a PREDICATE NOUN Ghina is a girl Cheese is a dairy product. Science is a subject

  4. Predicate Adjective Other times, the word in the predicate that is linked to the subject is an adjective that describes the subject. These are called PREDICATE ADJECTIVES Laptops are expensive. Barbies are adorable. Toy towns are fun.

  5. Don’t Confuse!!! Remember that being verbs can sometimes be helping they are not always linking verbs. Example: Thouriais teaching a lesson. Thouriais my teacher.

  6. Compound Like everything else, PN and PA can be compound Sara is my friend and teacher. Lara is smart and annoying.
