Teresa Susmaras An Extensive Education in Clinical Psychology Teresa Susmaras has studied psychology over the past decade, earning a BA in Clinical Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and both an MA and a Ph.D. in the same field from Suffolk University in Boston. Susmaras is now a licensed clinical neuropsychologist in her home state of Illinois.

Teresa Susmaras Choosing to Study Neuropsychology While an undergraduate at University of Chicago, Teresa Susmaras had aspirations to become a therapist, but after spending time as a research assistant in the field of neuropsychology, she found a deep connection with that career path. This lead to her Ph.D. work at Suffolk University as part of the Brain Imaging Analysis Laboratory. She chose to study for her bachelors at the University of Chicago, close to her hometown. After spending time in Boston at Suffolk University earning higher degrees, Susmaras has returned to her roots in Illinois. In 2014, Susmaras became eligible for licensure in the state.

Teresa Susmaras Childhood Memories Teresa Susmaras had an idyllic childhood growing up in Brookfield, IL with happy memories of visiting the nearby Brookfield Zoo and enjoying many extracurricular school activities. While in high school she participated in volleyball, baseball and Pom cheering, but her true love was reading, a passion she still has today. Teresa Susmaras grew up in Brookfield, IL and looks back fondly on her childhood, which included many trips to the famed Brookfield Zoo. Susmaras is currently a licensed clinical neuropsychologist working for one of the top medical facilities in Wisconsin.
