How do Bushfires start • Bushfire starts in forest when people throw cigarette into the forest, the heat makes leaves dry and sets it on fire.
How does it occur • People throw cigarette outside into the environment • The plants can get too dry and they can catch fire easily.
When do they occur • It can occur in summer because that’s when it’s the warmest. • It can rarely occur in winter but it goes out by its self. • In spring the fire can spread the most because of new plants.
How do we manage this hazards • We manage by keeping dry grass or leaves from animals and human life and by making sure there are sufficient fire fighting resources to combat bushfires, if one was to break out.
How can people be prepared for this • We can be prepared by always keeping fire blankets to put out small fires that just started, we can keep an extinguisher to put out bigger fires that won’t have any affect on with fire blankets.
