Stratagem, the flagship competition of Samvit 2010, gives you the opportunity to do just that! Stratagem is a one of its kind M&A game which will test your skills in finance, strategy and negotiations. The game will require you to take on the role of either the acquiring firm or the M&A advisor and compete against other teams to win the deal.Bid price, Value Creation, Shareholder’s Interest, Synergy and Competition – all these considerations will keep you occupied and make you think on your feet.   3. Format of event About the Event • The event is open only to second year students of MBA program • Each team will comprise of 3 members, all from the same college. A participant can’t be a part of more than one team • Teams need to register by clicking HERE by 17th November 2010, 23:59:59 hours • Round I – The Elimination Round • The online elimination round will test the general concepts of finance on 18th November 2010 between 21:00 to 23:00 hours. The exact rules will be disclosed on the day of the round. • The registered teams will receive the password protected file stating the problem of the elimination round 30 mins before the start of the event. • Teams will receive the password for the file 5 minutes before the start of the event by email. Teams can get in touch with the contact points at the end of this pptin the event they do not receive the file or the password. • Teams will need to email their solutions to stratagem.samvit@gmail.com • within two hours of the launch of the elimination round. Format of event About the Event Round II – The Final Round • Based on the elimination round 6 teams will be shortlisted and assigned roles of either an acquiring firm or an I-bank latest by 19th November • These teams will be invited to IIM Lucknow for the final round on 27th November • Details of the final round will be disclosed to the qualifying teams during the event • All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity and final judgments will be with organizing team of Samvit • The format and structure of events are subject to change before the event at the discretion of the organizing team of Samvit • Reimbursement of travel fees will be declared post confirmation of the shortlisted teams Elimination Round Final Round Move over to the next slide for Contacts » The M & A Game
