  2. What is a Brownfield? EPA Definition: “Property where expansion, redevelopment, or reuse is complicated by the presence or suspected presence of contamination.”

  3. Why are brownfields a problem? • Waste of Space • Crime, dumping, vandalism • Tax base, jobs, property values • Public & environmental health

  4. Identifying Brownfields Contamination (known/suspected)? Underutilized? Unsuitable use? For sale/lease? Revitalization plan?
