  3. 2 Timothy A more personal message of encouragement 1:6 is the theme“stir up the gift of God” “stir up” literally means “fan into flame,” “rekindle the fire” “the gift of God” in1 Tim. 4:14with elders’ hands the work of evangelist Ephesians 4:11 “the gift of God” in 2 Tim. 1:6 thru Paul’s hands Spiritual gift Romans1:11; Acts 8:18; 2 Cor.12:12 Temporarygifts 1 Cor.13:8-10 Permanent faith, hope, and love v.13
