PGA Merchandise Show – FCA Golf reaches out to golf pros all over the world who attend the annual trade show; • Outreach Events – FCA Golf shares Christ with golf coaches through outreach events held in conjunction with PGA and Nationwide Tour events; • FCA Golf is in the developmental stages of creating a golf-specific coaches ministry.
Junior Golf Camps – Summer 2007, we have 26 camps located all across the country; • Power Camps – Summer 2007, we are planning the first two in the Ponte Vedra area, which we hope to develop in other areas in the coming years.
Our campus is the beautifully manicured golf courses all across the country where golf pros make their living. • TourLife – A program created in 2006 to enhance the quality of life for people in tournament communities at all levels: Pros, wives, caddies, etc. • Weekly Bible studies and other opportunities to help meet the players’ needs; • Relationships with individuals giving them the chance to grow spiritually and in golf; • The current “campuses” we minister to are the Nationwide Tour, NGA/Hooters Tour, U.S. Pro Golf Tour, Tarheel Tour, Gateway Tour, LPGA Tour, and the Futures Tour.
Outreach events – Approximately 25–30 events in 2007 will serve as an outreach into communities where there is FCA staff in the same area as an event held by the PGA, Nationwide, LPGA, and Champions Tours; • Recent Events: • 1,000 people at the Master’s breakfast in Augusta, GA; Fred Funk speaker • 650 people at the Verizon Heritage breakfast in Hilton Head, SC; Aaron Baddeley speaker • Over 900 people at the TPC breakfast in Ponte Vedra, FL; Tom Lehman speaker • We are excited that in conjunction with the British Open, we will have our first international breakfast in Dublin, Ireland, featuring Stuart Cink as our speaker on 7/16/7. • FCA National Scramble – Gives local FCA representatives the ability to hold a local qualifying tournament. More than 110 local tournaments provide the opportunity for the FCA representative to not only raise funds, but also increase the awareness of FCA in their area.
2007 Impact Report (September – May) Total Event Attendees: 4,600 Total Faith Commitments: ? Volunteers: 56 Current Board Members: 9 Partnerships: PGA, Nationwide, Gateway, Futures, NGA/Hooters, Sunbelt professional golf tours; Sawgrass Chapel; churches; and partnering with 110 area FCAs for the National Scramble. Through 3 of our major quadrants, we have seen significant growth – tour ministry, junior golf camps, and outreach opportunities.
