Hogan, MIT • A novel robot for wrist rehabilitation has been designed and put into clinical use • This robot senses and actuates 3 degrees of freedom: flex-ext, ab-ad, pro-sup • A study comparing proximal training (with shoulder-elbow robot) to distal training (with wrist robot) is currently in process • preliminary data suggest that robotic wrist rehab training produces significant improvements in wrist motion.
