LEMC08 Workshop April 21-25, 2008
Update for LEMC 2008 • Renewed interest from FNAL Theory Group • Interest in an end-to-end complete MC first design • - Energy frontier, low luminosity option • - Simulation possible • Renewed interest in MC detector designs • Project X roadmap for FNAL • real synergies with various near- and mid-term experiments • active program + energy frontier possibility • Tita’s last Chez Leon dinner • REGISTER! • www.muonsinc.com/lemc2008
Workshop Structure • Subjects divided into 5 working groups • Not mutually exclusive • Encourage cross-communication and collaboration • Support staff divided among working groups • Stimulate and focus discussion • Readily accessible assistance • No parallel sessions • All sessions are “plenary”: MC topics, performance interrelated • Each session devoted to one working group • Poster Sessions (5-7 pm Mon-Wed) • Time for discussions/plans • Details on particular topics/technologies • Goals of Workshop • Complete simulation, target-to-IR, of a viable Muon Collider • More complete, expanded LEMC parameters list, spreadsheet • Increased interest and participation in Muon Collider work
Working Group Support • Working Group Organizers: • Guide discussions and chair WG Sessions • Prompt / Encourage presentations from participants • Give / Designate WG Plenary Summary • Scientific Secretaries: • Assist participants with presentations and posters • Collect electronic copies of presentations (preferably PDF format) • Direct participant questions/problems/complaints to M. A. • Assist the Group Organizers in assembling the WG Summaries • Collect electronic presentations Mary Anne - all other administrative and misc. details
