MS OFFICE AUTOCORRECT • MS Office has a feature that I always thought would be handy in SAS • With MS Office’s AutoCorrect feature you can have it replace one text string with another. • This is very useful when you have phrases you use often that you don’t want to type in all the time • For example, I can have Word (or Excel or Powerpoint) replace the text “rejectnull” with the phrase “As the p-value is less than 0.05, we would reject the null hypothesis of equality at the 95% level of confidence”
MS OFFICE AUTOCORRECT • To do this, got to Excel’s Options and find the AutoCorrect option. • Enter the text to be replaced with the text you want it replaced with
SAS Abbreviations • With the Enhanced Editor in SAS it is now possible to do these same things, and even more. The following papers show how: • http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings09/077-2009.pdf • http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings09/073-2009.pdf
