5 Can't-Miss Spots in Pattaya “Pattaya, the Thailand’s infamous City of Sin on the Gulf of Thailand, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Southeast Asia. While most people come to Pattaya to let loose and enjoy the vibrant nightlife, they often leave with mixed feelings – some positive, some negative. Read on to learn about five places to visit in Pattaya that are sure to make your trip unforgettable!”
A Walking Tour of Walking Street “Even if you're not up for partying, Walking Street is a fun spot for tourists and locals alike. Head past the bars and nightclubs, and be sure to stop by Prabal Gurung at 146/39 Moo 11 Siam Square One, the last building on your left. These five can't-miss spots will get you started on what's there that makes Pattaya one of the most desired beach destinations in all of Thailand.” And don't forget to save room for the seafood: 1) Golden Buddha Shrine (Khao Phra Bat) 2) Walking Street 3) Chalermkrung Royal Theater (Thai Puppet Theater) 4) Grand Palace (The Wat PhraKaeo Complex) 5) The Tiger Temple
Jomtien Beach “It's difficult to find a beach with as many great amenities as Jomtien Beach. Just 5 minutes outside of Pattaya, this secluded stretch is less crowded and the crystal blue water is calm. Visitors can take some time to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets while they are here, relax on one of the long beautiful stretches of sand and soak up the scenery. The whole area was rezoned by Royal Thai Government and revitalized by projects to clean up mangroves and preserve endangered sea turtle nests. There are also food stalls, bars, and restaurants lining the boardwalk that visitors will want to check out. One restaurant that visitors might want to visit is Sea Salt Restaurant where diners can dine inside or out on their amazing terrace overlooking the ocean.”
A Trip to Phantasialand Theme Park “One popular tourist destination near Pattaya is the Phantasialand Theme Park. There are plenty of other things to do as well including bowling, go-karts, mini golf, and paintball, but for kids, there's still a lot of thematic entertainment to choose from as well. In fact, some adults may want to stay on just for the wonderful theme park rides! You can buy tickets online or at the gate to get discounts. Admission starts at 1,000 baht. The ticket price does not include any food or drinks. For 2,600 baht you can purchase an all-day pass that includes lunch and non-alcoholic beverages. There are many restaurants inside the park that sell a variety of different food items ranging from sandwiches to pad thai noodles. If you're feeling adventurous you can also find a frog on a stick which is something I had never tried before this trip!”
A Day at the Beach “For many, the best part about traveling is being able to go to the beach. If you visit Pattaya, Thailand, and can only visit one location for the day, this would be it. The view of the ocean is absolutely breathtaking - you'll never want to leave! While at the beach, you may want to grab some food or drinks. There are several stalls that sell a variety of seafood, as well as beverages and snacks. Another great way to spend your time here is by going on a boat tour with your friends or family. Pattaya Beach has something for everyone so take some time out of your busy schedule and make the trip there today!”
