3. Implement a SIFE Project • Five basic elements of a SIFE project: • Identifying a need • Teaching/Knowledge Transfer of business skills • Empowerment • Measurable & sustainable impact • Triple bottom line – social, environmental, economic factors
Bath – Market Masters • Need: lack of enterprise skills • Set up a chutney making business with kids • Kids learnt how an enterprise works
Cambridge – Winter Willow • Finding a niche • Taught them how to secure funding: £125,000 • 2 jobs created • Business is entirely self sufficient
