Important Questions • What do we want all students to know and be able to do? • *Increase their ability and confidence to communicate in Spanish • (reading, writing, speaking, listening) • *Foster a cultural awareness and understanding • 2. What evidence will we accept that students have attained the desired learning outcomes? • *Daily interaction in Spanish, exams, DCA, presentations, projects • 3. What steps will we take when some students are not making adequate progress OR if some students are already well beyond the average progress? • *Tutors/Tutoring during Intervention • *Outside of school practice/engagement • *Communication with you!

ESPAŇOL III • In the syllabus you will find the class description, required materials, expectations, themes of study, etc. • Grading (Point System): Everything is “Important”! • Participation (¡CHILE!) • Projects/Presentations • Homework/Class activities • Exams/Final READ, WRITE, SPEAK, LISTEN In Spanish!!!
How to be involved at home • Make sure they COME TO CLASS! • Please check your child’s yellow homework sheet nightly. • Study and USE vocabulary! (flashcards, post-its around the house, order in Spanish at restaurants) • Listen to 97.9 música in the car together • Watch the Spanish TV channels (a newsbit, commercial and then they explain main idea to you!) • Exercises/Games online (visit my Anhs website)
