What is the Black Plague? • The epidemic form of bubonic plague? • 75-200 million people died from the plague. • The time period is now known as “Black Death”, but during the plague it was called “the great mortality”, or “the pestilence”. • no cure for the plague.
Facts continued… • The plague spread? • The only way to avoid the disease was to leave the city for the country. • The population decrease caused by the plague led to an economic depression.
Ghost Ships • When the Europeans came to America they were all dieing with the plague and then when they got on land they were all dead. The rats that were on the boat came onto the land and got to the people living on the land and got them sick and they started to get sick and it was spreading everywhere.
