Everyone wants the best for children and young people, so does the UBC- Youthful Cities Commission (YCC). YCC is committed to helping children thrive, achieve and develop the confidence to meet the transitions into adulthood. UBC-YCC commitments
The future priorities of YCC will be: • Influencing youth policies in UBC cities and strengthening of partnership with stakeholders • Promoting youth participation and combating youth exclusion and other barriers • To strengthen the co-operation with UBC- cities and other commission to tackle the burning issues related to youth. • To continue to improve the non-formal learning environment by creating inclusive & participative settings.

The Commission is represented by one civil servant and one youth representative from each participating city for the period of 2 years The work of the Commission is led by one coordinating city and one deputy coordinating city. The City of Turku in Finland is coordinator and the City of Gävle in Sweden is co-coordinator for the period 2014-2015 The Commission meets approximately 2 times per year More about UBC YCC
