Guide to success • You must be familiar with the PART of SPEECH- not only the definition. If you do not know the part of speech, you will not be able to accurately fit it into a sentence. • Verbs- action • Nouns- person, place or thing • Adjectives – describe nouns • Adverbs – describe verbs or adjectives
Week 1 • Pursuit (n) – the act of chasing • Evoke (v) to call to mind, summon, or call forth • Exultant (adj) – great joy or jubilation • Incessantly (adv) without end, without interruption
