Don’t over extend upper extremity when performing pre/post trips.
Adjust equipment to eliminate (or lessen) twisting, tilting and bending of the neck.
Avoid twisting when getting out of the bus seat.

31. REVIEW (cont.): If possible, avoid lifting for 2–3 minutes after driving—ligaments in your back stretch and slacken if you sit a long time. After standing they remain slack and can not support the spine as they normally do. 2009-10 Driver Trainer Inservice 31
32. PROPER SEAT ADJUSTMENT: Seat back adjusted 90-110 degrees from your legs - tilt a notch every 20-30 minutes.
Elbows should be bent at a 90 degree angle.
Seat should be forward enough that you do not have to lean forward.
Reach the foot pedal without stretching.
