Fate By Jordan and dylan
Fate is not set in stone. In the book Ransom, Hermes and Iris present Priam's fate, yet this cannot be changed. The gods can show Priam his fate but they cannot solve it. It was the characters decisions what lead them to their fate.Even when Priam is confronted with doubt, he moves through that and pushes forward to fulfil his visions.
Iris is the god who appears in Priams vision and shows Priamthe journey he undertakes. This is what gives Priam the idea to go and retreive his dead sons body. Hermes was a trickster and played around with Priam and Somax.Hermes escorts Priam and somax to Achilles camps and helps Priam gets his son back.
Quote relating to fate • “He is a child of earth. But fir the whole of his life he has been drawn, in his other nature, to his mothers element. To what, in all its many forms, as ocean, pool, stream, is shifting and insubstantial.”-Achilles • “Not a mockery, my friend, but the way things are. Not the way they must be, but they way they have turned out. In a world that is also subject to chance.” -Iris
