  13. Taiwan Overseas Volunteers Initiated in 1997 when the TaiwanICDF sent 5 volunteers to Swaziland, the Taiwan Overseas Volunteer program is now in its 10th year. By the June 2006, 222 volunteers will have participated in the program (including short-term volunteers), providing service in 28 friendly and allied nations.

  14. Taiwan Youth Overseas Service • The Taiwan Youth Overseas Service is carried out under the auspices of the MOFA. The TaiwanICDF is responsible for training these servicemen as well as the related management. • Taiwan has already sent 4 groups of servicemen (totaling 178 young people) overseas to serve. • A 5th group of 67 young men are presently in training for overseas service.
