  2. DATE • Will not have finalized until 110 days out

  3. YOUR INFORMATION: • www.eftours.com/2027634ar • Please make sure your information is up-to-date and correct • Especially – • YOUR NAME (as it is on your passport) • Your email and phone information

  4. PASSPORT: • https://www.usps.com/international/passports.htm • If you’ve not gotten one, do not wait (must be valid for 6 months after tour) • *My suggestion = Sandy Springs Post Office • IF ANYONE NEEDS A VISA – NON US CITIZEN THEN PLEASE TALK TO ME TODAY

  5. PASSPORT ALERT: • Only a few people have confirmed their passport information. This needs to be done ASAP. • The airline will not let you fly if your name on your ticket and the passport do not match.

  6. FOR THE NEXT MEETING: • BRING A COLOR COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT • Bring any papers you have not filled out and turned in today.

  7. THE BASICS: TYPE G • Weather • Adapters/plugs – depending on what you bring, you may need converters

  8. MONEY • We will need the British Pound • GO TO YOUR BANK: • Card – Needs to be VISA (everyone needs one) • Cash – bank should do this for you but it takes time (varying on your bank) – get money for each place, but keep ½ - 2/3 of it on your card (varies by child) • I will let you know – closer to date – how much for tips and transfer of funds (probably around $10 a day)

  9. PACKING • ONE CARRY ON AND ONE PERSONAL ITEM (EF BOOK BAG – students) • Carry on = approximately 22" x 14" x 9“ • Two reasons: • #1 – Trains in Europe (changes to train overhead carrying capacity) • #2 – Time in airport (loss and cost)

PACKING CONTINUED: • LAYERS • Pack clothes you can wear more than once (its not like here with the humidity and sweat), THEATER PERFORMANCE • Europe – We really stand out in bright colors, Europeans are more likely to wear dark colors even in summer • NO CAMO http://www.eftours.com/help-center/preparation/what-to-pack • Air seal storage bags (NOT VACUUM)

  11. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PACK: • LAPTOPS • IPADS • CHROMEBOOKS, ETC • EVERY HAIR PRODUCT, CUTE OUTFIT, HAIR ACCESSORY, OR HAIR APPLIANCE THAT YOU OWN

  13. DIETARY NEEDS / ALLERGY INFORMATION / MEDICAL FORMS • I will need a copy of your insurance card stapled to your medical form (BRING TO NEXT MEETING) • DO YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? • Vegan/vegetarian, lactose intolerant, etc? • IF SO = Please let me know before you leave today.

  14. PACE • Very fast paced • Need to think about shoes • WE DO NOT RETURN TO HOTEL UNTIL NIGHT • Not a joke – if you don’t typically walk a lot, begin walking around your neighborhood, etc

  15. ROOMING: oAdults room in 2’s by gender o   Adults can select a single room option for $40/night o   Family rooms can be arranged; 1 adult and 2 students or 2 adults and 1 student o   We are unable to put adults and students in a room of 4

START EXPLORING YOUR OPTIONS and see me for suggestions: • Check your itinerary and see when you have free time and what you’d like to see. • London suggestions (WE HAVE A WHOLE DAY IN LONDON OF FREE TIME!!): • Westminster Abbey • Tower of London • Kensington Palace • Google things to do and have some ideas ready so we have a plan and don’t have to talk about it when we could be exploring the city 

  17. TOUR ADDITION • I am adding in a tour of Edinburgh that was not available when we originally signed up for the tour. You will see a small price addition within the next few days ($49) but it’s a tour I think the kids will truly enjoy.

  18. NEXT MEETING: • March and May– check your email for updates • BRING: • A COLOR COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT • Copy of INSURANCE CARD • DRINKING AND MEDICAL FORMS • If any of these are done, please turn them in today • NEXT TIME = END OF MARCH: • Travel rules and what to expect when traveling internationally, liquids rules, information regarding locations, information regarding dress (cathedrals, etc), cultural information, rooming information, flight information, meeting/bus information, confirmed date of travel, how to pack TINY, insurance/healthcare, and much more
