This has been our experience with the use of ICOMOS AmericaFacebook • This page was developed alongside other similar pages belonging to various National and International Committees of ICOMOS follow-up to press UNESCO and other organizations dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage that used other social networks or forms of Internet communication such as Twitter, the institutional web pages, Blogs or other networks academic exchange photographs and advertisements.

This has been our experience with the use of ICOMOS AmericaFacebook As an active member of three international technical committees: • CIVVIH committee/ International Committee on Historic Towns and Villages. • ICOMOS LATINO AMERICA Comité Técnico de Patrimonio del siglo XX • ISC20 committee /International Scientific Committee on Twentieth-century heritage We should note here our experience covers different responsibility we have in the organization as President of a National Committee of Costa Rica, as part of the publishing group of several pages, as a member of the Advisory Council ICOMOS ADCOM Committee.
3. Functions of Social Networking Services( SNS) • We use following Social Network functions: • Expert Search, Contact Awareness’, Net work Awareness, Contact management and Exchange

We use following functions: • Definitions • Identity Management • People construct is this staging of oneself - for a particular audience. • Expert Search • Is the possibility to pro-actively receive recommendations of interesting contacts by the SNS. • Context Awareness • Is the awareness of a common context with other people? • Network Awareness • Is awareness of the activities (and/or the current status and changes of the latter) of the contacts in the personal network is supported by functionalities, too. These functionalities enable indirect communication via awareness.

4. From the beginning we try to identify common issues and problems and we observe how each group faced them. Workshops and other group dynamics were announced to address the needs of conservation of cultural heritage They appeared almost in unison case studies that were happening simultaneously. Tangible and intangible heritage inventories and photographic albums of different countries were shared .

What kind of publications we promoted: “LA ESPECULACIÓN NO DEBE REBASAR A LA PLANEACIÓN”: TERESA FRANCO • We publish information we consider relevant emanating from National and Scientific ICOMOS committees • Also on statements from the secretary of ICOMOS, and from the Executive Committee and Advisory Committee. His vision was to build a bahay-na-bato like structure with hints of international style. Further comments …About how young students and professionals handle Facebook pages • young students and professionals we observer that they use their personal pages combining other forms of communication: use of videos, publications of the favorite bands, using memes and others)However we know that young users prefer to use alternative social networks where information becomes more ephemeral or even more immediate and amusing.
