Tips for winning scholarships • Where Does Youth Apply for Funding? • Generally before doing anything, you should also speak with your supervisor, departmental graduate advisor and your peers about the various awards programs open to students in your particular field of study. There are trained professionals who are there to support you for you upcoming years. • Tips • There are various agencies to whom have specific program guidelines. If you face any problems about your eligibility, contact the agency’s website. If you still have questions, contact the program officer located at the funding agency. • Find out when the deadline is, and give yourself plenty of time. Having a lot of time helps you with decisions and give you time to think. Reviewers can spot a “rush job”. Be sure that your application and all supporting documents (e.g., transcripts, letters of support) are received by the funding agency before the competition deadline.

It’s essential to have a good balance between sports and school. It’s very beneficial in the end.

Make sure it is complete. • Above all, don't get discouraged. Make the strongest case you can and keep trying. Always keep doing your personal best and keep being confident no matter what.
