The Transfer matrix method (TMM) was applied to calculate the sound transmission loss in several orthotropic plates made of fiber reinforce plastics (FRP). Traditionally, the TMM is applied in the isotropic materials. However, here we present a new technique of solving the FRP laminate (an anisotropic material) by combining the wave equation and the TMM. The results from the sound transmission level (STL) of the FRP will also presented. MTL
