Abnormalities • Amenorrhea: Absence of menses for 6 months or absence of menstrual cycle for three cycles • Menorrhagia: Heavier and increased amount of flow occurring at regular intervals or loss of >80 mL of blood • Metrorrhagia: Irregular episodes of bleeding • Menometrorrhagia: Longer duration of flow occurring at unpredictable intervals • Oligomenorrhea: Cycle length >35 days • Polymenorrhea: Cycle length >21 days • Postmenopausal bleeding: Bleeding that occurs more than 12 months after the last menstrual cycle

Cervical Mucus(general description) • Days 1-5: Menstruation occurs. • Days 6-9: Vagina is dry with little to no mucus. • Days 10-12: Sticky, thick mucus appears, gradually becoming less thick and more white. • Days 13-15: Mucus becomes thin, slippery, stretchy, and clear, similar to the consistency of egg whites. This is the most fertile stage. • Days 16-21: Mucus becomes sticky and thick again. • Days 22-28: Vagina becomes dry.
