WP1: Support to enterprise, Italy • Early indication: SME support changes behaviour more. Eg €80k per job, vs €500k for large firms • Soon: comparison of different forms of SME support (grants, loans, advice, mixed combos) • Beneficiary survey (1000 firms) shedding a lot of light on process Results expected December, final publication early 2012
WP2: innovation support • Aim: exploratory. Effect of ERDF on innovation (eg patents, inno invest). • Task 1. Examining data from 7 MSs: CZ, ES, FR, PL, SL, SK, UK (Wales, London)=> data reporting recommendations • Task 2: CF (as far as possible) in the 7, more detailed analysis in Eastern Germany (using more inno data)=> results (where possible), tips for future work Again, results expected December, final publication early 2012
In the pipeline • Conference in Warsaw, 12 December • In collaboration with Polish presidency • Results & policy focus (not method details) • WPs 1 & 2, enterpreneurship (Poland), EMPL • 6 MSs collaborations (HU, IT–Emilia, MT, PT, FR-Réunion, UK-Wales) => Building up a picture over time
